Muslims believe the Quran, in its original Arabic, to be the literal word of God that was revealed to Muhammad over a period of twenty-three years until his death. Compilations of the Qu'ran began under the Caliph Umar, but it was Uthman who decided upon a definitive copy and destroyed all other versions. All of the Muslims use just one Quran and there isn't any differences among the sects. The Quran has never changed in substance since.
Critics of Islam often point to the Quran to prove that it is not of divine origin and therefore conclude that Islam is false. The divine origin of the Quran and the morality of the Quran are hot topics of criticism in Islam.

Uthman did an excellent thing (may Allah be pleased with him). If you know anything about semetic languages (Arabic/Hebrew), you will know that they have no vowels. To the native reader of the text, it is easy to determine, because the vocabulary is well known.
The Qur'an was reavealed in Makkan Arabic of the Quraish tribe. As Islam spread to India, China, and Africa, Uthman noticed that the pronounciation was being butchered. For instance, the word "bed" would have been written "bd". For a non-native reader, they could easily pronounce it "bid, bod or bad". ALL that Uthman did was simply add vowel points, so non-native readers could mantain the integrety of God's text. Not a word has been changed, deleted or added.
The Old Testament containts the Hebrew word "YHWH". Until the 1960s, Hebrew was a dead language. Nobody knew how to translate "YHWH", and scholars are still arguing whether or not it is Jehova, Yahweh, Yahawee, Jovah, Yovah, etc.."
Uthmam simply recalled the Makkan text, and made the recitation and pronounciation identical to all readers across the globe. Up to today, there is only one Qur'an read and memorised by 1.5 billion Muslims. The same Qur'an is read today that was revealed to the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

This is just seriously pathetic way to say it.! Well, I do NOT believe a word posted here. Thats because the translations are wrong. If you insist on proving somethng wrong, you find a flaw even in the perfect things.
You can easily find the answers to these questions on any Islamic site. Go and you will find the answers. I just found out about the moon. Quran says its the reflected light. Go see the correct translations. The word is "muneer" .... And next time, think twice before you do such a senseless deed... Peace~

there a serious peroblem that any muslem think. First: they think that quran is from there God what they call it Alla, there prove is "quran it self" why? because they think it's from God and anyone cant disscus about that " it's from Alla and enough".
Second: they think the things that are written in quran about christian and Christ is true like; muhammad was fortold in Holy Bible, Alla talked to Christ if he said "do you ever said to the people i'm alla and Mary is alla's mother" it's all lies there is nothing like that in Bible.

This is absolutely wrong. In the Quran it is said to use the sun and the sky to determine when to pray. But it is also stated that there will come a time when there is clocks. Today you use a clock to determine when to pray. You only use the suns location if you cant get to one or dont have specific times on paper.
Quran is a word of God ...u hav misunderstood the translations...go and correct your understanding..try to study and understand quran..
Wow! Apparently Muslims are quick to anger. I would hate to be part of a religion who says stuff like "Go to hell" Christianity teaches patience and love. I don't agree with all the logic here, but as a Christian, I do believe Islam is wrong. Think about it. The Quran was written AFTER the bible. All Muhammad had to do was look at ancient texts, and say "I will just change this, this, and this" 2 Corinthians 11:14 says Satan can appear as an angel of light. What if Muhammad wasn't visited from Gabriel but from Satan disguised. The only thing satan needs to do to separate you from God is to make you not believe in Jesus & that is what he did, the perfect lie to decieve so many. Anyway, I am happy to be in the religion that teaches love and helping others & I pray everyone who doesnt know Jesus will come to know him.

Quran states that a women is half the witness compared to a man because you need another woman to correct her if she forgets something. Meaning women either have poorer memory or poor observation capabilities. Both of these have been completely refuted by science. Women actually are more observant and have in general equal or even better memories than men. I can give you several examples like that. Amazing thing is that you can tell all wrong facts in any religion but it does not make them rethink their religions. The brainwashing done in early childhood is very hard to undo. Every religion is totally irrational but majority of the people still believe in this fiction. They can easily see irrationality in other religions but not in their own. Human stupidity has not limits. I think animals are way smarter than humans because they do not believe in a religion.
